The TIE Interceptor is a 9.6-meter long Starfighter designed as a quick and powerful strike fighter. This vessel has exceptional maneuverability and great speed, with light armoring. Developed as a more cost-effective alternative to the TIE Advanced prototype models, yet still incorporated some of the offensive and speed improvements in direct response to the Rebel Alliance's introduction of fast ships like the A-wing interceptor.
