The v-150 Planet Defender is a ground-based planetary Ion cannon designed to disable capital ships. It requires an enormous amount of power to operate. It comes with a power generator buried 40 meters below the cannon and requires a crew of 27 to operate . Manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards, the Defender has a maximum range of 150,000 KM and is capable of disabling large cruisers with a single shot. A v-150 was present at the Battle of Hoth and was used by the Rebel Alliance.
