The Clone Katarn-class Commando Armor is an advanced variant on Clone Armor, providing better protection by utilizing a special composition and novel chemical properties in its armor plates. Designed for use by Clone Commandos during the Clone Wars, the armor is highly customizable for the unique requirements of the individual user.
Clone Katarn-class Commando Armor has been designed with a low-light scheme camouflage. Each component of the armor has been applied with a mingled pattern of black and dark blue tones to better blend with a low-light environment.
The boots on this Clone Katarn-class Commando Armor have been enhanced with incredibly sound absorbent soles, muting the wearer's footfalls unless they are moving faster than a jogging pace.
Clone Katarn-class Commando Armor is fitted with a climate-controlled body-glove, that allows the wearer of this Clone Katarn-class Commando Armor to operate in extreme temperature conditions without loss of function, or freezing or burning to death.
