The CR25 Troop Carrier Flight is a 60-meter long troop transport unit that consists of four CR25 Troop Carriers, along with four pilots, four gunners, four communications officers, sixteen engineers, four technicians, and two mechanics to operate and maintain them. Designed as a heavily armored multipurpose drop ship for troops and armor, it is lightly armed with twin turbolaser cannons. Hyperdrive capable, this vessel has poor maneuverability and great speed, with heavy armor and average shielding. Operated by the pilots in the flight, each can carry up to 40 troops in addition to a range of armor, allowing the flight to carry 160 soldiers or passengers and as necessary their vehicles. The CR25 was the favored dropship of the Rebel Alliance due to its ability to quickly move troops and equipment to the surface in adverse conditions.
