The Lightsaber is a weapon used by Jedi and Sith. It is a plasma blade, emitted from a hilt and powered by crystals that determine the characteristics and color. It is useful as both an offensive and defensive weapon depending on the skill of the one wielding it. Capable of cutting through virtually anything including blast doors given enough time.
The hilt of this lightsaber was designed to evoke the emotions emblematic of the dark side, with a cylindrical black hilt only broken up by a crimson red activation button and a series of linear black rubber grips that circle the hilt at the middle. Four equidistantly-spaced metallic black prongs protrude upward like talons, first slightly out, then back in, as though grasping at the lightsaber's characteristic red blade.
This lightsaber is equipped with an ionizing emitter matrix for use against droid units that may be capable of fighting through lost limbs or chassis pieces. The ionization funneled into the blade works to fry circuits in the periphery of a strike.
This lightsaber has been built with watertight casing and seals, allowing it to be submerged in water without damage to the internal components.
