The TC-series Protocol Droid is a protocol droid designed with a specialized vocabulator and an encyclopedic knowledge of languages and cultural information. It possesses a standardized humanoid design, available in a wide array of colors but all possessing the same basic form with its notably restrained range of movement. It also possesses a more advanced VerboBrain than the common 3PO-series that enables it to quickly analyze new languages and translate them into more well-known ones.
TC-26 has been programmed to serve its owner without question. Acting much like a butler, TC-26 will act for the most part in silence, and will adhere to the literal definition of its instructions to the best of its abilities.
TC-26 has received specialized programming and upgrades around the operation of its motivators and actuators, that allow for much smoother and subtle movements than a standard TC-series Protocol Droid. This additional programming slightly reduces the reflex time and movement speeds of the droid.
TC-26 has had every external component painted black as night, with attempts to minimize the brightness of external lights and features. This allows this TC-series Protocol Droid to more easily blend into the shadows and darkness unseen.
