The 2-1B Medical Droid is a humanoid droid with a translucent torso sheath that leaves many of its internal components visible. This model's arms feature joints designed for exceptional articulation along with servogrip pincers at the end of each limb. They can be equipped with various arm attachments to meet their tasks.
2-1B Surgical Droid could be said to have seen better days. Looking more like the result of a scavenging run than a fully functioning 2-1B Surgical Droid, its plating is missing in several key locations which leaves its internal circuitry exposed. Wiring flows out of the main chassis before snaking its way back under the next panel along its path. Servos and non-critical systems are laid bare for all to see, but 2-1B Surgical Droid retains its functionality despite this.
2-1B Surgical Droid has had additional memory installed that increases its computing power. This allows it to perform complex analytical operations at a marginally faster rate, but limits the ability to further customize the 2-1B Surgical Droid in any other way.
2-1B Surgical Droid has developed a personality around the concept of a caretaker. It has assumed the needs of its owner to be its prime directive, even such tasks that have not been requested of it. This results in 2-1B Surgical Droid often flitting about in an attempt to meet any possible task before it is necessary, including menial tasks.
