The Low Altitude Assault Transport/carrier (LAAT/c) Platoon is a ground armor deployment unit that consists of eight LAAT/c, along with eight pilots, eight technicians, and four mechanics to operate and maintain them. Designed to operate as a low-altitude gunship that carries and deploys a range of ground armor using powerful magnetic clamps while the pilot can also operate a pair of front mounted light laser cannons. Operated by the pilots in the platoon, they cannot carry passengers. Used by the Republic during the Clone Wars, it remained in service to the Galactic Empire for years.
