The Lothal Astromech Droid is an astromech with a transparent dome revealing its inner mechanisms, with a cylindrical body similar in design to other astromech droids with a retractable tread leg and two main legs. It is a cheaper alternative to the more advanced R-series astromech droids but still capable.
Lothal Astromech Droid has received advanced automated repair programming based on the original Lothal Astromech Droid schematics, giving it an ability to perform or assist in the performance of self-diagnosis and self-repair of its mechanical systems. This system engages automatically upon damage, and can render the droid temporarily unavaialble while it assesses any necessary repairs before further action can be taken.
Lothal Astromech Droid is subjected to frequent memory wipes, and has little to nothing in the way of personality. It acts according to its basic programming in an efficient and impersonal manner.
