The C1-series "Phoenix Edition" Astromech Droid is a variant of the C1-series Astromech Droid that has been heavily modified and upgraded by the Phoenix rebel cell in their fight against the Galactic Empire.
This C1-series "Phoenix Edition" Astromech Droid has greatly improved astrogation programming, allowing it to perform incredibly more complex maneuvers and store additional hyperspace coordinates or jumps within its memory.
C1-11C "Crash" Astromech Droid has developed a quirked personality, granting it an inclination towards heavy doses of sarcasm when engaged in dialogue. As a result, C1-11C "Crash" Astromech Droid comes across as having issues taking direction and developed a reputation for 'snark'.
This C1-series "Phoenix Edition" Astromech Droid has been fitted with a small extendable electro-shock prod, enabling it to stun or shock enemy targets within melee distance.
C1-11C "Crash" Astromech Droid has had every external component painted black as night, with attempts to minimize the brightness of external lights and features. This allows this C1-series "Phoenix Edition" Astromech Droid to more easily blend into the shadows and darkness unseen.
An experimental automated repair system has been installed on this C1-series "Phoenix Edition" Astromech Droid, giving it an ability to perform or assist in the performance of self-diagnosis and self-repair of its mechanical systems. This system slows the droid while it assesses any necessary repairs when dealing with heavy damage, and can perform very basic tasks or actions while assessing necessary repairs.
