The Molecular Analyzer is a specialized handheld device that can take a sample of the local atmosphere and quickly analyze it for hazardous or poisonous compounds displaying information about what was detected on a small viewscreen. It can also be set to passively scan automatically and send an audio or vibratory alarm if something was detected.
