The GH-7 Medical Droid is a medical analysis droid with a humanoid torso, three limbs and a central head unit. It has a hologram projector installed into its chest allowing it to generate life-size projections of medical procedures and an equipment tray containing a full set of tools necessary to carry out these operations. It moves via advanced repulsor fields that allow it to carry sensitive liquids and avoid disruption. It is programmed to diagnose as well as assist in surgeries, anesthesiology and hematology.
There can be no mistaking Doc for any other GH-7 Medical Droid. The droid's plating has been painstakingly coated in an application of chrome. The resulting appearance is a highly reflective silver coating that runs the risk of showing each and every minor scratch it endures.
Doc has received specialized programming and upgrades around the operation of its motivators and actuators, that allow for much smoother and subtle movements than a standard GH-7 Medical Droid. This additional programming slightly reduces the reflex time and movement speeds of the droid.
Doc has developed a personality around the concept of a caretaker. It has assumed the needs of its owner to be its prime directive, even such tasks that have not been requested of it. This results in Doc often flitting about in an attempt to meet any possible task before it is necessary, including menial tasks.
