Prototype: B1 Battle Droid
The B1 Battle Droid is a tall, thin humanoid framed battle droid manufactured widely during the Clone Wars. Its humanoid frame allowed the droids to operate a range of machinery, vehicles, and weapons while programmed to never surrender proving unquestionably loyal. The base model, however, had limited armoring, and simple programming, making them incapable of independent thought and vulnerable in basic one on one combat. Manufactured in mass by Baktoid Combat Automata and Baktoid Armor Workshop.
B1 Battle Droid has been equipped with advanced targeting systems, enabling it to acquire targets with greater accuracy than factory a factory default B1 Battle Droid. As a result, B1 Battle Droid has a reduced rate of fire.
B1 Battle Droid has had every external component painted black as night, with attempts to minimize the brightness of external lights and features. This allows this B1 Battle Droid to more easily blend into the shadows and darkness unseen.
B1 Battle Droid has been fitted with a retractable demolitions probe, allowing this B1 Battle Droid to safely disable a variety of explosive devices without causing them to detonate.
