The BlasTech DC-17 is a compact blaster pistol, handy in closer-quarters combat due to being capable of quick successive volleys of shots when fully recharged, but then requiring a recharge before firing again. Due to its shared mechanics with DC-17m ICWS, it was often paired by Clones familiar with the weapons systems or dual wielded.

BlasTech DC-17 Blaster Pistol has had every external component painted black as night, with attempts to minimize the brightness of external lights and features. This allows this BlasTech DC-17 Blaster Pistol to more easily blend into the shadows and darkness unseen.

Vented Barrel (Blaster Weapon Enhancement - I)

The barrel on this BlasTech DC-17 Blaster Pistol has been replaced with a larger and reinforced barrel, allowing BlasTech DC-17 Blaster Pistol to fire shots of increased penetration.
