The Shriek-hawk, also known as the jai'galaar, was a ferocious predatory bird, known for diving for its prey. Their effectiveness lead to the creature's likeness being used as the emblem of Clan Vizsla of Mandalore. Dark colored, with sharp pointed beaks and talons, the Shreikhawk got its name for its shrill and loud call.

They do not look to assert their dominance by means of aggressive action by vocalizing with their respective method of communication (howling, hissing, roaring, etc.).
