Cythraul are quadrupedal, canine creatures with long bushy tails, tapered ears, and a pointed muzzle containing sharp teeth. They have impressive jaw strength and an enhanced sense of smell. Natural apex predators, they are larger and more intelligent than the average Wolf. They are distant cousins and nearly identical to the Arx Wolf, but have lore that ties them to Clan Arcona.
Frond is wild by nature, but has had its behavior modified to accept the presence of humanoids by an intervention. It is trained against its wild instincts to accept humanoids. As creature handling goes up, a member can better empathize, train, and manage this creature's behavior. Untrained (+0), this creature will do whatever it wants and one would be helpless to understand why, with its natural disposition taking over. As creature handling skills improve, a member can understand, care for, and better influence this creature with full control achieved with mastery (+5) of creature handling.
Frond, regardless of their size, likes to find odd places to sit, lay down, or rest—places that often are more often than not too small or the wrong shape. Nevertheless, Frond persists and can often be found lounging in a shipping crate rather than the actual item that came in the aforementioned crate.
Frond's coat is thick with many layers, coloured primarily with a dark maroon highlighted with flecks of both lighter and darker browns. The lighter browns are concentrated on his stomach, the underneath of his tail and chest whereas the darker flecks are along his spine, the base of his ears and the top of Frond's ears. His eyes are a bright, saturated yellow.
Frond is larger than the average Cythraul in terms of size and body mass. Their bulkier build can offer better power but often at the expense of the mobility and agility commonly associated with other Cythraul.
