The Merr-Sonn 773 Firepuncher is a Blaster Sniper Rifle manufactured by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc around the time of the Clone Wars. It features an ablative coating across its surface, and an alternate wide-beam burning mode that reduces overall damage output in order to increase armor penetration of its shots. It has several configurations, from removing the main barrel for short range fire to including an optional tripod useful for stability in long range shots up to 2000 meters. The Clone Force 99 sniper Crosshair used one of these rifles.
Merr-Sonn 773 Firepuncher has had every external component painted black as night, with attempts to minimize the brightness of external lights and features. This allows this Merr-Sonn 773 Firepuncher to more easily blend into the shadows and darkness unseen.
