The D-O series droid is a small droid comprised almost entirely of a single wheel, cone-shaped head, and the mechanisms to allow it to rotate and move about. They are tiny in size at 0.46 meters, and speak a less complex form of droid binary that is easier for non-droids to understand. While it is capable of speaking in basic, it is rather limited and often times garbled with a noticeable stutter. The Sith Assassin Ochi of Bestoon owned one of these droids.
Oriana's D-O Series Droid could be said to have seen better days. Looking more like the result of a scavenging run than a fully functioning D-O Series Droid, its plating is missing in several key locations which leaves its internal circuitry exposed. Wiring flows out of the main chassis before snaking its way back under the next panel along its path. Servos and non-critical systems are laid bare for all to see, but Oriana's D-O Series Droid retains its functionality despite this.
Oriana's D-O Series Droid has been fitted with a built-in SCOMP link, allowing this D-O Series Droid to slice into various types of terminals and droids.
Oriana's D-O Series Droid has been fitted with a portable power pack that not only increases its own sustainment longer than standard D-O Series Droids, but also enables it to recharge many power sources through additional charging ports compatible with common power grids across the galaxy.
