The Dark Trooper Droid is a large humanoid-shaped Combat Droid of Imperial design. They are primarily covered in black and silver plating, with red photoreceptors. Dark Troopers are immensely strong, have thick armor able to withstand blaster fire, and have a rocket booster installed on the base of each foot. Their necks are unarmored. Moff Gideon's Imperial Remnant was known to deploy droids of this type.
PowerDuke has had every external component painted black as night, with attempts to minimize the brightness of external lights and features. This allows this Dark Trooper Droid to more easily blend into the shadows and darkness unseen.
This Dark Trooper Droid has been upgraded with an experimental electrical defense grid that allows PowerDuke to operate at normal capacity when hit with ionized electricity, and prevents any permanent damage or loss of functionality.
PowerDuke has been modified with an experimental shield generator inside its chassis, allowing this Dark Trooper Droid to absorb 3-5 direct hits from a blaster or bladed weapon before taking damage. This shield is not lightsaber resistant.
PowerDuke has developed a personality around the concept of a caretaker. It has assumed the needs of its owner to be its prime directive, even such tasks that have not been requested of it. This results in PowerDuke often flitting about in an attempt to meet any possible task before it is necessary, including menial tasks.
A carbonite projector has been fitted to PowerDuke, allowing this Dark Trooper Droid to launch liquid cold carbonite at a target and temporarily freeze them in place or slow them down.
