A.E.O.N. is an asteroid that orbits Caelus. It has no atmosphere, and is incapable of supporting life. It was once resource-rich, but has been completely mined and forgotten about. The main shafts and staging areas inside are big enough to potentially berth a few dozen starfighters or shuttle-sized craft. Gungan bubble technology has been integrated inside the asteroid, and working in conjunction with remaining heavy elements in the rock has created a barely hospitable hidden base.
