Prototype: N5 Sentry Droid
The N5 Sentry Droid is a Combat Droid featuring a bipedal design. They are equipped with a large yellow-colored sensor package mounted on the droid's head. This model was used by the New Republic Correctional Corps on various prison transports and correctional facilities. It is capable of wielding blasters and melee weapons.
N5 Sentry Droid has been altered to appear more as a token of wealth than your typical N5 Sentry Droid. Silver paint has been applied to the droid's exterior, allowing for accented gold plating in order to create a contrast and draw attention to the supposed credit value the droid represents.
N5 Sentry Droid has developed a personality around the concept of a caretaker. It has assumed the needs of its owner to be its prime directive, even such tasks that have not been requested of it. This results in N5 Sentry Droid often flitting about in an attempt to meet any possible task before it is necessary, including menial tasks.
N5 Sentry Droid has been programmed with slightly improved combat protocols, allowing it to perform slightly better in multiple combat scenarios when compared to other N5 Sentry Droids.
A basic automated repair system has been installed on this N5 Sentry Droid, giving it an ability to perform or assist in the performance of self-diagnosis and self-repair of its mechanical systems. This system renders the droid temporarily unavailable while it assesses any necessary repairs before further action can be taken.
