The XX-23 S-Thread Tracker is a small Homing beacon, developed by Sienar Fleet Systems for use by the Galactic Empire. The beacon could be fixed to a vessel's hull and was able to track ships through hyperspace in order to determine their destination. One such device was affixed to the Millenium Falcon allowing the Empire to locate the Rebel base at Yavin-4.
