Prototype: C-8 Saboteur Droid
The C-8 Saboteur Droid is an advanced Combat Droid model designed to spy on and sabotage enemy positions. They are relatively short, with black plating and featureless faceplates as part of their humanoid frames. Their plating contains integrated and advanced sensor masking features allowing the droids to surprise a target before quickly escaping from sight. They utilize strike-and-fade combat protocols as part of their programming that dictate their tactics, and armaments are stored in internal compartments allowing weaponry to be hidden by the stealth features of the droid.
C-8 Saboteur Droid has had every external component painted black as night, with attempts to minimize the brightness of external lights and features. This allows this C-8 Saboteur Droid to more easily blend into the shadows and darkness unseen.
C-8 Saboteur Droid has been fitted with a digital lockpick that replaces a standard finger with a set of small deployable tools that allow it to pick physical locks and slice digital locks.
An experimental automated repair system has been installed on this C-8 Saboteur Droid, giving it an ability to perform or assist in the performance of self-diagnosis and self-repair of its mechanical systems. This system slows the droid while it assesses any necessary repairs when dealing with heavy damage, and can perform very basic tasks or actions while assessing necessary repairs.
C-8 Saboteur Droid has developed a predatory nature similar to those often associated with assassin droids. As a result, C-8 Saboteur Droid will often approach a situation with the mind set of a hunter, and convey their findings as such. This can be disconcerting to others who are unaccustomed to C-8 Saboteur Droid.
