The BD-unit "Survivor Edition" Backpack Droid is a modified version of the BD-unit Backpack Droid. It has been fitted with additional tools and resources such as a macrobinocular "BD Vision" mode that allows a person to look through their photoreceptors and highlight targets and destinations, a stim dispenser, a thruster for hovering and quick bursts, a droid hacking matrix, and more powerful computer access and slicing link.
Pips has been fitted with a built-in SCOMP link, allowing this BD-unit "Survivor Edition" Backpack Droid to slice into various types of terminals and droids.
Pips has been painstakingly cared for, and even upon close examination it appears as though BD-unit "Survivor Edition" Backpack Droid was freshly off the manufacturing line. Absent of any scratches, dents or even the slightest imperfections, the only thing missing is the new droid smell.
Pips has been programmed to serve its owner without question. Acting much like a butler, Pips will act for the most part in silence, and will adhere to the literal definition of its instructions to the best of its abilities.
An advanced toolkit has been integrated into Pips, allowing it to perform sophisticated and large-scale repairs on other droids or technology.
