The Kyber-Hypermatter Reactor System is a unique and much smaller reactor than those traditionally found in capital ship classes, which uses a massive kyber crystal and several large capacitors at its core. This reactor system is fully integrated into all ship systems. It allows the crew to "overcharge" systems by providing an exceptional boost of power to either energy weapons, shields, sensors, targeting systems, or engines for a limited time when compared to a traditional reactor, or can provide a large boost to all systems at once for longer periods. The Kyber-Hypermatter Reactor System can also be set to self-destruct in order to scuttle a ship and damage other vessels in very close proximity, preventing the technology from falling into enemy hands.
