BD-99 (Beedee, Nines) has been painstakingly cared for, and even upon close examination it appears as though BD-unit "Survivor Edition" Backpack Droid was freshly off the manufacturing line. Absent of any scratches, dents or even the slightest imperfections, the only thing missing is the new droid smell.

A carbonite projector has been fitted to BD-99 (Beedee, Nines), allowing this BD-unit "Survivor Edition" Backpack Droid to launch liquid cold carbonite at a target and temporarily freeze them in place or slow them down.

BD-99, like most of the rare BD units in the galaxy, is a cheerful and inquisitive droid, though beneath his companionable demeanor is lionhearted determination and fierce loyalty to his friend, Adem Bol'era. The droid prefers his shoulder and stays near him unless given a specific task or finds something of note to scan, otherwise keeping watch for unseen threats and monitoring his partner's health. BD-99 does not hesitate to intervene when Adem is in serious danger, placing himself in harm's way with bold and decisive actions to protect his friend. This trust has forged a powerful bond between droid and Jedi, and as such, they are virtually inseparable.

BD-99 (Beedee, Nines) has been fitted with a portable power pack that not only increases its own sustainment longer than standard BD-unit "Survivor Edition" Backpack Droids, but also enables it to recharge many power sources through additional charging ports compatible with common power grids across the galaxy.
