The BD-unit "Survivor Edition" Backpack Droid is a modified version of the BD-unit Backpack Droid. It has been fitted with additional tools and resources such as a macrobinocular "BD Vision" mode that allows a person to look through their photoreceptors and highlight targets and destinations, a stim dispenser, a thruster for hovering and quick bursts, a droid hacking matrix, and more powerful computer access and slicing link.
BD-53rv0 has been painstakingly cared for, and even upon close examination it appears as though BD-unit "Survivor Edition" Backpack Droid was freshly off the manufacturing line. Absent of any scratches, dents or even the slightest imperfections, the only thing missing is the new droid smell.
This BD-unit "Survivor Edition" Backpack Droid has been upgraded with an experimental electrical defense grid that allows BD-53rv0 to operate at normal capacity when hit with ionized electricity, and prevents any permanent damage or loss of functionality.
BD-53rv0 has been fitted with a built-in SCOMP link, allowing this BD-unit "Survivor Edition" Backpack Droid to slice into various types of terminals and droids.
