The Ethereal Phase Crystal is an onyx black crystal that is smaller in size than the palm of a human's hand. It can be held or attached to a necklace or chain and worn around the wrist, waist, or neck. It is a powerful crystal strong in the Force and distinctly linked to the Ethereal Realm. Bearers of this crystal are capable of entering a quasi-ethereal state for a few minutes time once per day, rendering their entire person nearly completely transparent and allowing them to phase through solid matter such as wood, rocks, ores, and even metal, though they are still affected by other states such as plasma, gases, and even temperature. They are not able to interact with the physical world while phased, and moving faster than the pace of a slow walk will cause the bearer to instantaneously un-phase from the quasi-ethereal form. The density of the material determines the speed at which the bearer can pass through it, with denser materials like metal taking several seconds.
