This IG-86 "Covert Edition" Sentinel Droid has been augmented with an advanced targeting system, allowing IG-27 (Frank) to track and acquire targets at a much greater proficiency than a standard IG-86 "Covert Edition" Sentinel Droid.

This IG-86 "Covert Edition" Sentinel Droid has been reinforced with an advanced layer of additional armor plating, providing IG-27 (Frank) much more durability compared to a standard IG-86 "Covert Edition" Sentinel Droid.

IG-27 (Frank) has had every external component painted with a glossy black finish. On the left shoulder, painted in blood red, is a human skull that is missing the lower jaw. The skull itself appears to be melting so that the teeth and cheekbones of the logo are dripping away from the rest of the skull. On the right shoulder, also in blood red, is crossed lightning bolts.

IG-27 (Frank) has developed a predatory nature similar to those often associated with assassin droids. As a result, IG-27 (Frank) will often approach a situation with the mind set of a hunter, and convey their findings as such. This can be disconcerting to others who are unaccustomed to IG-27 (Frank).

An improved sensor suite has been installed inside the droid brain of IG-27 (Frank), allowing a much wider scanning area than a standard IG-86 "Covert Edition" Sentinel Droid.
