The TIE Boarding Craft Flight is a unit that consists of four TIE Boarding Craft, along with four pilots, four technicians, and two mechanics to operate and maintain them. The TIE Boarding Craft is 7.6 meters long and shares a configuration with the TIE/sa Bomber, while being taller and wider. Heavily armed, the TIE Boarding Craft portside pod featured a boarding ramp and a retractable docking claw with a military-grade laser cutter. This vessel had poor maneuverability and speed especially in an atmosphere, with average armoring and shields. Operated by pilots in the flight, each can carry up to 20 troops, allowing the flight to carry 80 soldiers or passengers.
