Locke is tall and thin. He has light brown/dark blond hair, the color depending on the way light reflects off it. His hair is usually kept cut short in a simple military style. In sharp contrast to his hair, his eyes are a murky green, appearing crystal green in bright light and as glinting dark jewels in dim light. His face is plain and indistinct; he would blend in with a crowd on countless human-inhabited worlds. Locke's body type emphasizes lean fitness, from a lifetime of military experience and combat. In many places on his arms, legs, and body, he has small scars from numerous old wounds.
Locke has recently learned that his family lineage is descended from an old crime syndicate. This isn't something he asked for, but he has inherited a spy network from his mother and isn't one to let resources go to waste. Using his skill at Diplomacy and his reputation as a War Hero ,Locke continues to expand and develop this system of eyes-and-ears and his contacts in the underworld, helping him to make connections between different groups and find people with skills for different missions, as well as receive a great deal of unfiltered information.
While this is pretty useful, he also realizes the more he leverages the old family name, the more vulnerable he will be to other criminal enterprises. In addition, the information he receives is often contradictory and he has trouble picking out what is accurate without assistance.
Locke was once a dedicated follower of Naga Sadow, but times have changed. Deciding he has watched the destructive nature of his Clan go on long enough, Locke has become a founding member of the Knights of Daragon. Like their legendary namesake, Gav Daragon, they too are one-time followers of Sadow who have turned and work in favor of justice.
He carefully works against the Clan's more chaotic elements in secret while serving it publicly. Locke believes in justice and bringing down those who he considers evil. His true intentions are somewhat masked by his rampant use of the dark side, but at the same time this makes it hard for his allies to identify with him or trust his methods.
Locke finds himself in a lonely world, where using the dark side too much could cause allies to condemn him even as he tries to avoid scrutiny from enemies.
While Locke used to see combat as a mere necessity, he now looks forward to each fight, relishing the opportunity to test and improve his abilities. It isn't beyond him to attempt humor or sarcasm in the middle of battle, but his heavy use of the dark side will sometimes cause him to display an uncharacteristic ferocity that contrasts sharply with his usually calm demeanor. This sudden shift in manner often alarms allies and enemies alike, meaning Locke has to be careful not to distract those on his own side.
Locke is typically calm and patient, but he does have a limit. In casual conversation he's pretty friendly to those who like to socialize. His skill in Diplomacy allows him to socialize with and network with a wide variety of beings, and match his personality to suit the situation or match those who he wants to talk to.
That said, Locke doesn't always like to use his diplomatic skills. When it comes to conflict, he prefers approaching his problems head on; weapon in hand. It doesn't take long before he grows impatient with talk and will take a more direct approach. This can sometimes result in a situation becoming more heated than it otherwise could have been.
Locke loves a good cantina brawl, and he can usually talk his way out of the mess afterward, as long as the issue is with a being he can communicate with.
More than a decade of near continuous conflict in service to Naga Sadow has taken its toll on Locke. His injuries, while healed, have left him slower than he once was. At the same time, he has become much more in tune with the Force, and it sustains his Stamina far beyond what it used to be, while also greatly increasing his Precognition to offset his diminished athletics. His years of experience and training also make up for his reduced athleticism.
In battle, Locke leverages his endurance, Force powers, knowledge and experience to wear down opponents, learn their tactics, and find weaknesses he can exploit. His skills being in protracted engagements where he has time to develop tactics on the fly, Locke sometimes struggles against aggressive opponents in close quarters where his limited athletics can be exploited.
Having extensively studied lightsaber combat, forms, and tactics, as well as mastered both Niman and Makashi, Locke has a lot of experience with lightsaber usage. He uses each form as he sees fit, and also weaves elements of Sokan and Trakata into his tactics to throw opponents off balance and keep them guessing.
In addition to this, he uses Force powers extensively alongside the lightsaber. Locke has studied techniques of Jedi and Sith throughout history to learn what worked best and try to develop tactics others won't expect or be able to counter.
That said, while Locke is a devoted student of the lightsaber and the Force, he hasn't devoted much time to more "mundane" skills, and sometimes has a hard time against opponents who utilize them well.
