Like some wretched spire, Thanadd towers over his peers, grimacing beneath the cybernetic edifice which constitutes the majority of his lower mandible. Beneath it, razor-edged molars are clenched in an eternal rictus grin, the flesh flayed from an already unsettling visage. The affliction responsible for such a grisly smile also claimed several limbs and severely damaged Thanadd's vocal cords, for which the prosthesis provides haunting, baritone relief.
A dire suit of caliginous Sith armor serves as an immutable exoskeleton, and entombed inside, Thanadd's life is preserved via mechanized life support. A massive, draping cloak casts an imposing overall person, a ghastly mantle revealing the powerful dimensions of a half-living monolith.
Despite whatever all his other characteristics may convey, Thanadd Mawgath retains the air of a person that is confident, if not arrogant. Minor (and often, major) things in his body language - his walk, his stance, his expressions - reveal these feelings. At times, it seems he borders upon narcissism, especially judging from how much he enjoys his own company.
Large, ugly, and frightening, Thanadd Mawgath projects a truly abominable nature. This exceptional monstrosity is recognized throughout the galaxy, transcending languages and cultural practices. Embedded in local lore, ancient legends, and various galactic religions are horrific creatures of destruction, pestilence, or forbidden power. Thanadd Mawgath emanates the raw inhumanity of universally loathed beings, and leverages the dread inflicted to his advantage. While useful in cowing foes and cultivating idolatry, such intrinsic hideousness makes it extremely difficult to make friends. Few are interested in conversing or keeping the company of such a being, and Thanadd Mawgath usually finds himself alone.
All who gain power are afraid to lose it, and Thanadd Mawgath is no exception. Some use their power for good, some for evil; Thanadd Mawgath, however, knows that these are just points of view. He is on a quest for greater power, and uses all his skills and abilities to ensure his supremacy, regardless of the consequences.
Thanadd Mawgath is not afraid to exploit any advantage or position of power he has when dealing with others, and relies on a combination of fear, intimidation, manipulation and shows of strength to convince others to compromise and lose. Thanadd Mawgath can be quite callous in his dealings with others, and never gives up his power. This has earned Thanadd Mawgath with the reputation of a “bully” and can often make negotiations difficult before they even begin.
Where most err on the side of caution in a confrontation, Thanadd Mawgath prefers to charge in head-first. While others may skirt a battlefield or keep their careful distance, Thanadd Mawgath rushes in with devastating attacks with seemingly no regard for safety, relying upon instinct and possibly armor to protect him from dismemberment and death during his all-out attacks. Thanadd Mawgath is a force to be feared on the battlefield, leaving a trail of death and destruction. However, Thanadd Mawgath's blood-hungry ways put him in far more danger than the normal combatant, often resulting in needless injury and suffering, trading safety for pure offensive ability.
Thanadd Mawgath possesses a single minded drive for victory, and a deep-seated martyr complex. When presented with a chance to wade into battle versus overwhelming odds, Thanadd Mawgath does not hesitate, and instead rushes in, relying on skill, fate or chance to let him survive.
