Jecht is a taller than average human who maintains the body of a career seasoned soldier. He has short, dark hair that extends to the bottom of his neck and is kept longer in the front, slightly raising and protruding past his forehead in a fashionable style. He has a full but short and well-kept beard that covers his jawline. Plntiful small scars from battles past cover his body, marring his skin that is lightly browned from constant exposure to sunlight. His eyes are a pale grey that contrasts starkly with his skin and hair tone and immediately draw attention to themselves. When he speaks, it is with a smooth baritone that carries a dancing lilt to it.
Jecht has several forms of advanced medical training far beyond that of a field medics typical scope, being able to even perform surgical techniques on the battlefield to save his patients if needed. Combined with his fearlessness in the face of enemy fire, he is willing and able to go far beyond the capabilities of other medics, and he will go to any lengths to save the life of a comrade he thinks he can save, no matter how much danger he puts himself in. His skillset is highly specialized however, limited to trauma care and medical emergencies, and he is therefore incapable of performing the kind of care a traditional medical provider would give.
Jecht is a highly trained specialist who is skilled both at healing and harming. His primary focus is aiding the wounded and fallen, but he has no fear of combat and is quite deadly as a soldier, making him a double threat on the battlefield. While he prioritizes aiding the fallen, he can tend to bite off more than he can chew trying to pull double duty. Especially when the enemy stops seeing him as a medic, and instead as another combatant.
Jecht wants to be where the action is. When the smoke rises and the screams fill the air, he runs to them where most would run away. He has little to no fear of death, and he wants to do as much good as he can from in the trenches next to the other soldiers. This can earn him great respect from those he stands next to, and those who know his reputation, but it also dramatically increases the danger he finds himself in.
Jecht has lots of experience with the severely and mortally wounded under his care. He learned the hard way early in his career that the second you start blaming yourself for people's deaths, there's no coming back. As such, he has learned to push it aside and move on when he loses a patient. Jecht is quick with a joke, friendly, charming, and witty when appropriate. He makes friends easily and comes across as laid back and easy going, no matter how bad or intense things may get. But this doesn't meant that he doesn't feel every loss somewhere inside. He can handle whatever is thrown at him better than most, but everyone has a limit. And when he reaches his, the resulting break is likely to be tremendous.
Jecht has a complex list of needs as both a healer and a combatant. He needs weapons that let him keep his hands free, offer a quick draw time, and that he doesn't have to keep track of when he needs to stow or drop them. As such, he doesn't carry any traditional weapons into battle. All of his are mounted on his wrists or forearms. Having spent years perfecting his skills with these weapons, he is more than adept at wielding them. This has led to him neglecting traditional weapons training, causing his effectiveness with handheld weapons to be greatly diminished.
Jecht is a highly capable warrior, able to use blasters, explosives, and even non lethal unarmed combat to bring down enemies. He is able and willing to kill without hesitation if necessary, but he would rather simply take someone out of the fight if possible. Using his knowledge of physiology and anatomy, he tries to incapacitate rather than kill. While this is typically effective, as he knows exactly where and how to stop someone in their tracks non lethally, his mercy can come back to cause trouble for him later.
