Methyas is eternally Force-Chained to his brother, Mirado. While this allows them to know how and where each other are at all times, and the ability to communicate telepathically with ease, they also share extreme psychological trauma, or worse. Should Methyas die, Mirado will most likely be heading back to the Force with him. Due to their Chain and as the complement to Mirado, Methyas is physically and constitutionally weak but Force strong. A side-effect of this seems to cause Methyas to exude a constant flow of Force energies when channeling his power, appearing as an overflowing conduit so to speak, making it difficult for him to conceal himself from other Force users and for him to appear as far greater a threat than he truly is.

The flow of information is paramount to a war effort, as such Methyas took up the role of intelligence agent and broker. His actions have been two-fold: to aid the Brotherhood and to protect himself as an open adherent to the Light amongst a Clan of Dark Jedi. He utilizes his knowledge and skills to keep himself appraised of many events and details which come to him through the words of others in the field or from plucking the strings visible to him through the Force. Due to his limited resources, however, his information tends to be less detailed about actual events occurring within the Clans and Houses of the Brotherhood, and more so about the details of individuals or outside threats to the Brotherhood.

Since his capture and subsequent training under Michael Halcyon, Methyas has begun to walk his true path. As an adherent to the Living and Unifying Force, Methyas has distanced himself from the teachings of the Brotherhood. As such, he believes that the Force itself has no alignment and that it is those who channel this power that determine how it is viewed by how they present themselves. Because of this viewpoint, Methyas remains dedicated to the Brotherhood and its people despite their alignment, as he believes it is his duty to maintain the Balance of the Force and acts accordingly to preserve the ways of the Light amongst the Darkness.

Methyas is for all intents and purposes, an honourable person. Raised by Mandalorians, he was taught that honour is something that should be held above all else. His time in the Brotherhood has seen him maintain this stance in his daily interactions and combat, for the most part. Since his shift towards maintaining intelligence channels and openly adhering to the Light, Methyas has seen a change in behaviour around him from his brethren. As such, Methyas attempts to maintain his own code of honour to as much of an extent as possible, but is more willing to bend his code if his opponent is dishonourable themselves.

Methyas L'eonheart doesn't like to kill people; instead he chooses to injure his opponent until that person is unable to fight back or is otherwise incapacitated.

Due to his weak constitution, strength and ideals as a Grey Jedi, Methyas vastly prefers ranged combat, taking every opportunity to use his skills and Force Powers to disengage from melee and instead fight at range, so much so that he has become competent at staying out of melee in the first place. With his cybernetic leg greatly reducing his agility, Methyas is unable to keep up with more agile opponents and is often overpowered in melee; as a result he tends to employ Tràkata techniques similar to the Old Republic Jedi to disengage from or control the flow of combat.
