Always smiling, of fair height and willowy, lean frame, Atyiru isn't particularly intimidating in stature. Her body shape is something of a thin hourglass, elegant shoulders swaying over a thin waist and smooth hips. Her bust is average-sized, appearing more pronounced on her tinier, lithely-muscled frame.
Atyiru's skin is the soft copper of sun-warmed earth, decorated with callouses and proud scars. Her silver brows are set over an eyeless countenance that is nearly always covered in bright cloth wraps. Her wild, wavy hair is a shining shade of platinum, tumbling down to her calves, and her long-fingered, deft hands are put to good use in managing it. She loves to braid it intricately, but normally puts it in one long, simple braid down her back or over her shoulder.
For the most part, Atyiru can be found wearing suspiciously Jedi-like robes, an outfit commissioned to her by a former Odanite friend. It consists of a corseted top, split skirt, shorts, two belts, gloves, and knee-high boots, in white, blue, and gold. Her casual wardrobe otherwise consists of medic uniforms, dresses, and other garments in rainbows of clashing colors and patterns. She can always be found with the same accessories: her favorite turquoise cloak, a metal armband, a simple cord necklace with red cloth tied to one end, and an Arcona pendant gifted to her by Marick Arconae. She dresses mainly for practicality and comfort and always wears layers, but isn't above a bit of extravagance.
Atyiru's back tells a story of painful lessons, canvased in thin, raised wheals of scar tissue from several whippings. She has two tattoos, a tiny red woman on her right upper thigh and a small block of four horizontal bars on the outside of her upper left thigh. The text within the bars is in Basic and reads, "Bold Beyond Fury, Brave Beyond Pain".

Atyiru has sworn by several creeds in her lifetime, but their core has always remained the same: to protect life. ”I will protect those who cannot protect themselves. I will protect even those who do wrong so long as it is right. I will protect the smile on every face.”
While she has waivered between mercy and justice in following these ideals, she remains steadfast in her refusal of ruthlessness. To Atyiru, life is paramount and there is nothing more sorrowing than taking it. While she will always do what she must to protect what and who she stands for, Atyiru will only kill as a last resort. Offering asylum or aid, no matter the cost to herself or the greater good, is always preferable.
Though often called a “Lightie” by comrades and enemies alike, Atyiru holds both sides of the Force in religious regard: to her, light and dark are two equal aspects of a greater whole, both deserving of love and dedication. She feels no fear in using the Dark Side, but her compassionate nature has always held her closer to the Light.
Despite her disposition, only fools would allow Atyiru’s radiance to blind them to the shadows inside of her or the tidal wave of darkness at her beck and call. Whether loyal to her or the throne she sits, Atyiru holds some of the galaxy’s most terrible assassins and saboteurs in her hands and won’t hesitate to employ them should her mercy be tested.
Regardless of what you are, where you come from, or who you are, Atyiru will be kind to you, focus on your better qualities, and try to be your friend. You could be anything from an innocent child to a sadistic murder and she will still appreciate you for any decent aspect of your character; even a quality you might not know you have. This is perhaps her defining characteristic in its most basic sense: she cares about people. They mean absolutely everything to her, and that, more than anything else, is what makes her so passionate.
Ascending to Consulship weighted Atyiru with many responsibilities and distanced her from her previous mentor. Lonely despite those around her, Atyiru seeks solace as she always has: in spreading happiness. Mentally connected to the minds and emotions of her clanmates through the Serpentine Throne, she subsists on their joy. Consequently, she can be overly fond of “helpfully” meddling in the lives of her subordinates and friends. She often behaves manically cheerful and tries to encourage the same in others, but since becoming Consul she also displays erratic moods and neglects personal boundaries. While she still clings to her ideals of altruism and good living, she has become more willing to use extreme and sometimes violent measures in achieving them.
Just because Atyiru is blind doesn’t mean she cannot see. At their core, all living beings are motivated by emotion and Atyiru’s uncanny Empathy allows her to read those feelings like an open book. With that knowledge, she uses her Mind Trick to manipulate those emotions, subtly shifting others' urges to ease their anxiety or riot their tempers. Atyiru isn't afraid of using these skills for the sake of her friends or a goal, which can often make those who know about her abilities uncomfortable or untrusting. Consequently, she frequently masks the depth of her knowledge. This reluctance to show the extent of her abilities prevents her from using them to their fullest, and that hesitation can mean the difference between victory and defeat.
On the battlefield, Atyiru’s medical prowess frequently land her in a support role. Combined with her aversion to killing, this often keeps her from the front lines. When forced into direct combat, however, Atyiru can apply her knowledge of medicine itself as a weapon. She focuses on when and where to strike her opponents, exploiting weak points in their anatomy instead of trying to out-muscle or even out-think them. She employs eclectic methods to stun, incapacitate, or otherwise knock her enemies unconscious. However, she is often overwhelmed by physically superior foes and does her best to avoid prolonged duels. Moreover, she is prone to hesitation if she feels her actions could permanently harm an opponent, ally or otherwise, beyond her ability to heal them afterwards.
