Derek has a profound compassion for the troops and soldiers under his command. This sense of protectiveness earns him fierce loyalty. It prevents him from being overly aggressive with how he utilizes them and he will never waste troops, which limits his tactical abilities to a narrow field.
Despite his young age, Derek Cinn believes that actions speak louder than words, and that showing those actions at the right time is the key to success. This lack of ego gives him an endearing quality and make it easier for him to build bonds with friends, but can make people who don't know him hesitant to follow a child blindly.
Derek, Due to his young age has developed a sharp sarcastic tongue. His constant sarcasm has made him disliked by his peers in situations where his sarcasm is not welcome, especially in intense combat situations. However, In relaxed settings, his sarcastic attitude makes even the most boring people smile.
Derek Cinn knows that his small stature and age often make him appear less threatening and has learned to use this to his advantage. With a healthy mix of his boyish smile and his quiet demeanor, he can trick his enemy into ignoring him altogether giving them a sense of security that he can capitalize on whenever he wishes. Though, at times where he needs to be taken seriously, he may find it very difficult to convince them to do so.
Derek Cinn, due to his small stature, prefers to attack quickly and rapidly before an opponent can counter, overpower, or out finesse him. While his attacks lack power, he relies heavily on his low center of gravity, acrobatics, and a surprisingly conditioned body to find openings in their defenses.
Derek Cinn tends to make his attacks as elegant and fancy as possible, priding himself in the finesse he possesses. His acrobatic, smooth, and flowing movements gives him an advantage in that he is more agile. This passion for elegance however, in the face of an overly aggressive enemy, is more of a burden than an advantage leaving him distracted with the granduer of his movements rather than focusing entirely on the enemy.
