Active members more often than not find themselves given awards due their station. It is without any shadow of a doubt that Jedi Knight Turel Sorenn is the living definition of activity. Aside from his work as Professor of the Shadow Academy and as Battleteam Leader of the Knights of Allusis, to which he contributes reports and updates regularly, Turel has posted one of the most insane records of activity in the shortest possible timespan that I have ever seen.

It has been less than three months since Turel's last merit award. In that time he has earned over 1400 Clusters of Fire, six Pendants of Blood (one for a club first in Diablo 3, no less), participated in 18 competitions in which he scored 8 crescents, has organised four competitions himself, then scored an additional five Clusters of Ice, three Scrolls of Foundation, a Seal of the Crusader, completed a total of 9 additional Shadow Academy exams and entered a 6000+ word fiction into the Antei Contract Bureau field test.

If this is not the inhuman definition of activity, I don't know what is.

His skill in multiple fields drives him to excellence. He is one of the keenest gamers Odan-Urr has, able to take to any platform and become a dominant force, but he is also a writer of fair skill as well, organising and participating in our current House run-on. The fact that he can work across multiple fields makes him an asset to this House and this Summit that cannot possibly be overstated. He is an active contributor to the mailer, the IRC and every Summit discussion we have. He does his absolute utmost to set the best possible example for our members at all times and his active presence in almost every single field of this club is no exception. To be able to be this personally active while serving in two separate positions is an incredible milestone.

Turel is, hands down, the most active member Odan-Urr has ever seen. As a token of his awe-inspiring accomplishment, I would like to award him a Steel Cross. His example is something I could only ever dream of reaching. Thank you, Turel - you're an absolute legend.

Turel was one of the first members I drafted to become part of my CS 2.0 Development team. It started with him complaining to me about how the Disciplines were very “Dark Side”. It was never something that had occurred to me, but when we sat down to try and workshop it, I realized he had a very good point. Fast forward to the announcement of the new Paths and Orders (and the inclusion of Gray Jedi) and his forward thinking all of a sudden looks borderline clairvoyant. Instead of just throwing his hands up at something he did not like, Turel offered suggestions on how the Disciplines could be neutralized. As we started to work on those together, he also became my go-to for extracting the old Discipline Feats and helping me re-write and workshop them logistically. Disciplines are one of the marquee features of CS 2.0 and Turel’s input was invaluable to me on what I consider my biggest contribution to the Character Sheets. Without him, I don’t think that this would have gotten done.

Beyond that, Turel has been, and continues to be, one of the most vocal members of the CS Development team. He has had a hand in helping argue and discuss countless Skills, Force Powers and Feats and is responsible for the new addition of “Tactics” that has become a popular selection.

Turel is a stellar example of a Brotherhood Leader who doesn’t stop at his “salary” job to still put his heart and soul into an unofficially team role. This is me rewarding his trust in me, and a way of thanking him for the hard work. Thanks, Turel!

Turel was essential to the creation of the new Jedi Order Core and Gray Jedi Order Core courses and exams. In less than a week, he contributed major sections of the notes for both courses, edited my writing, and wrote the outlines of both exams. Without his help, this project would not have been possible on the accelerated timeline we've labored to meet. Thank you, Turel, you've been an enormous asset to the Shadow Academy.

Turel has been at my side for a long time. Serving as Proconsul has earned him a badge of respect from his peers on the Dark Council, his subordinates in his own Clan and Arcona's summit—not to mention the countless others taking notice of his success. At this time, I have no doubts that were I to leave the position of Consul, Turel would fit in without additional effort, or much change in duties. Just this month, Turel and I finished the latest event in Odan-Urr dubbed "Homecoming." At this time, events have become something of clockwork for us, not being something that either of us find particularly difficult to run without too much planning or preparation. Even so, it took Turel and I a long time to get that far and I count Turel as one of—if not THE—best event organizers in the Brotherhood. This recent event entailed continuing the lore of Kiast in fiction (and our arrival with it), as well as the organization of 10 competitions over two phases to great success. As the event co-organizer, Turel was instrumental in grading and running the event as I was out of town for most of it. He took over the solo duties of ensuring that the competitions were entered into the site in time, and advertising it where he could when I was unable to do so without proper devices. This event was successful, and much to my amazement, took far less time than others to organize on the same scale. Several others—including Taldryan's members and leaders—have taken note of our methods and begun to ask myself and Turel about how we run events. Being eager to assist where he can Turel added his voice to lending tips and suggestions outside of the Clan where he was able. While a little thing on the surface, it is in no doubt a token of his resourcefulness and willingness to help others outside of the Clan.

Turel continues to flesh out our shell of a new system, as well. Running the recent event under a theme of "world-building," members were given an experimental avenue to create Clan "canon" en-masse. This meant that all competitions in the recent event were able to influence the lore of Kiast somewhat with successful entries being curated for inclusion into the fiction, wiki and future usage. Turel himself contributed to several articles such as Kiast and Kiast (Planet) that earned him a Dark Side Scroll for a featured article. Turel was also given two Scrolls of Foundation for Shadow Academy-related work. On top of these, he is also working to boost our gaming activities with a Jedi Academy server that allows guns and a Tournament based around it. From his regular frontline activities as a member, Turel has earned a Crescent with Diamond Star, three Crescents with Ruby Stars, a Crescent with Amethyst Star, a Crescent with Sapphire Star, 798 Clusters of Fire and a Cluster of Ice.
