Edgar Drachen, much like his namesake is a veritable dragon of Odan-Urr. His activity is almost without peer, his contagious spirit burns like dragonfire and he has recently spread his wings as a leader in a big way.
His individual accomplishments are simply staggering, just since his last recognition in November he has participated in fifty two competitions taking home an impressive twenty four Crescents, two Clusters of Ice and a Legion of the Scholar. In the realm of gaming, he has no equal. During that same period he accumulated fifteen Pendants of Blood, 3323 Clusters of Fire, 104 Clusters of Earth over a mind numbing 325 combined multiplayer submissions. He came in a close second in the entire club for the Fourth Quarter GMRG ranking with a literal record setting 7834 points (which is higher than any previous quarter, the fact that score came in second tells the tale of how competitive the GMRG was this past quarter).
Edgar’s accomplishes don’t end with him as an individual, he has also rose to become one of the Clan’s key leaders. In the past two months he has received two Scrolls of the Master for mentoring leocadio and Len Iode to JM4, both of whom continue to be among our most active members. He is also a producer of content, organizing five competitions himself and was instrumental in helping me organize and promote the Life Day Games, a nineteen competition clan gaming event for the holiday season. He has also hit the ground running as Aedile for House Hoth, publishing two high quality reports on the site and aggressively promoting activity across the entire Clan.
Soon the dragon’s roar will be felt across the entire Brotherhood, and the sky's the limit for Edgar. But for now is it my distinct honor to present him with his first Grand Cross. Congrats my friend.

Edgar Drachen.
That name implies the vigorous motivation, creation, effort and achievement in everywhere he resides. When the surrounding motivation is low, he builds it up into remarkable level. When the things are outdated and dreary, he transforms them into something new, funny and interesting to join in or get involved. When there are only few hands to help in projects and participation, he shows his helping hands everywhere and every time he can, even without being asked. When the statistics needs some sets of achievement, he shows such extraordinary list of feats and triumph that most people will only be aghast at.
He has a trait of charming warrior; he can be very dangerous in combats, but charismatic, amiable and, pleasant in daily interpersonal relations, work and communication.
Edgar has been a great treasure for Clan Odan-Urr since born and joining in and will always be. And for Disciples of Baas, his valued time there is noted as a grand and inspiring moment in DoB history. He broke every attempt of silence, into cheerful interaction of the members, brought motivation into the DoB atmosphere to help one another, assisting me to build a solid base for DoB to stand. He created funny and interesting competitions to organize and co-organize, as also gave expansion ideas of safeguard and defence to DoB divisions manual. He discerned well about helping and tutoring, as he successfully mentored three students of his own, one in Strike Team Ooroo and two as also in Disciples of Baas. He taught by example, and he was beyond first-class exemplary to follow not just for his students but also for others. He could be the good mentor, partner and alliance in almost all the game platforms the DJB has to offer.
Edgar wouldn’t stop after an accomplishment, he would be busied himself next for another goal and project. However he is not self-centred, he always wishes to help to others and give his best. When he finally was called back to Hoth to empower the cool and snowy house of Clan Odan-Urr, even though it was an immense sacrifice to DoB, he has continued his motivation, creation, effort and achievement to shine and warm the place and to overall Clan Odan Urr atmosphere especially for the upcoming grand event against clan Plagueis. Thus as an addition to all incredible statistics that I won’t mention again (as previously stated by the Proconsul), this reference will hopefully strengthen Edgar’s earned Grand Cross award recommendation.
Edgar, your trait is always radiance, Charming Warrior! Congratulations!

Edgar is more than just a ball of awards. Since the official announcement of the Plagueis Odan-Urr feud, he has been running quick crossword competitions to get members prepared, and to get them to check out the Clan Plagueis wiki.
Aside from that he has been working on a set up to move House Hoth forward, and has worked closely with the battle team under him, the Knights of Allusis to figure out the role the team will play for the house.
He is active on telegram, making sure everyone is encouraged and updated on the status of most competitions. He has been a driving force in a way, keeping most discussions friendly and interesting. He has worked to be an example to those under him, becoming the scaly ball of activity he has been. He has been an inspiration to watch and work with.

Edgar Drachen, a man with a truly impressive set of numbers. But statistics aside what does that giant ball of accolades he has collected these past two months say about him as a man? To me they give testament to his indomitable competitive spirit, his drive to better those around him, and his thirst to give others things to do. But large numbers alone does not a man make and Edgar is truly more than the sum of these visible parts. Edgar is a leader in bloom, not without his faults but learning from them and finding out what works. He has an addictive presence within Clan Odan-Urr, those around him are drawn to try and impress him. His attitude both fosters activity and rewards those that put forth. To simply say Edgar is truly a model member himself would do him injustice. Edgar is the type of member we all should strive to become as he strives to better himself.
Edgar, from the bottom of my heart I would like to congratulate you on this Grand Cross, you have most certainly earned it through your consistent actions and all around just being awesome. I for one can’t wait to see what you do next.

Edgar, has been in a tremendous effort to our Clan in the last two months since his previous award. During that time, he has amassed a wealth of Clusters of Fire and Earth, along with over a dozen Pendants of Blood and two dozen Crescents. This is a phenomenal level of activity that I am quite impressed with.
As my Aedile, he has organized five competitions and written good two reports, and has been working with Tisto towards developing future directions for House Hoth and the Knights of Allusis to explore. He is constantly talking on Telegram, and is quick to hype every opportunity for our members to enjoy themselves.
He has, most importantly, mentored two members to the rank of Knight, and both padawans remain active and helpful to this day. For these efforts, I wish to support this recommendation. Congratulations Edgar!

There are many members within House Hoth that I look to for their leadership and ability to drive forth and inspire the rest. They are consistently active, always offering their ideas and making sure those working beneath them are well taken care of. There is one, however, that stands out above the rest. That person, to me, is Edgar Drachen, and so today, I wish to thank Edgar for all of his hard work up to this point.
In the time since Edgar’s last moment of recognition, he has achieved some impressive stats. Having participated in a staggering ninety-one (91) competitions, he has managed to attain four (4) Crescents w/Diamond Star, ten (10) Crescents w/Ruby Star, seven (7) Crescents w/Amethyst Star, four (4) Crescents w/Sapphire Star, one (1) Crescent w/Emerald Star and one (1) Crescent w/Topaz Star, showing off that he targets those large competitions that include more individuals so he can better his own skills as an active member of the Brotherhood. In line with his competition activity, his gaming and writing have brought even more awards to his medal case in the form of one (1) Pendant of Blood, eight-hundred eighty (880) Clusters of Fire, sixteen (16) Clusters of Ice and five-hundred twelve (512) Clusters of Earth. The numbers Edgar is able to attain is simply astounding. The awards and competitions he has received and participated in can be reflected through his completion of thirty-seven (37) PvP matches, one-hundred forty-eight (148) PvE matches and four (4) fiction activities — composed of over eight-thousand (8,000) words. He doesn’t stop there, though. He continues to expand his knowledge of the Brotherhood by having successfully passed twelve (12) Shadow Academy courses and earning one (1) SA Degree.
For the past five (5) months since previous recognition, Edgar has been serving as Aedile for House Hoth, and continued to serve in that position after I came in as Quaestor in May. He is the leadership type this Clan needs, always promoting, thanking, giving and building. He has successfully submitted two (2) news posts in the form of House reports, which typically contain detailed statistics of the House from recent news and awards, to what current competitions are out and what projects the members can contribute to. And speaking of competitions, Edgar has also successfully organized, either alone or with someone else, ten (10) competitions for others to take part of. Edgar has been here all along throwing idea after idea at me for approval, all in the light of giving the members something to do and to make sure they are justly rewarded for their efforts. He doesn’t ask for anything as a reward, and his favorite comment is usually “It’s for Hoth” or “I do it for them.” It’s this kind of leader that we need more of in this day and age of the Brotherhood: someone that looks out for the little guy and doesn’t ask for much, if anything, in return.
Edgar, I don’t know where Hoth would be without you and I cannot thank you enough for the level of dedication you put towards your unit. You make me proud to be leading Hoth with you and I only expect you to rapidly rise in the near future. Please accept this Grand Cross as a heartfelt “thanks” for everything you do, but know that not even an award can properly express how much we appreciate all your efforts. Congratulations, Drachen. Keep up the amazing work.

Edgar and both started working in the Hoth Summit back in December, and when he did he let me know that he intended to lead by example. His work has been inspiring, and he backs up his activity by organizing puzzle and flash game comps regularly for the House and Clan to participate in. His work ethic has been inspiring, and he has always offered to help, whether it's getting clusters to rank up in the GMRG or just being supportive to members of the Clan as a whole. It has been an immense on honor to work along side him from the beginning, and it has been great seeing him stick to his convictions from day one.
In the nine months of working with Edgar I have seen him put in a lot of time simply for the House, without a second thought. Whether it is coming up with ideas for comps, helping others advance in the organization, or his constant reminders on competitions, he has dedicated quite a large amount of time to the club. His effort is also quite contagious, and has inspired many members to be more active. Edgar definitely deserves this Grand Cross.

I’m going to skip the fluff and formal introductions and just straight to it, Edgar is one of the finest leaders in the Brotherhood today. Few care more for their members, or are as willing to go to bat for them as Edgar is for not just his House but all of Odan-Urr. Fewer leaders still have his unbridled enthusiasm for all forms of activity and as set strong of an example for their members as he does. If there’s a better activity promoter in the DB than Edgar, I have yet to meet them. But Ed doesn’t just push activity for the members to do, he leads from the front lines, where the rubber meets the road. He went an impressive 9/11 competitions in the COU/PLA feud and was one of two members in Clan to go 9/9 compeitions in our recent Clan event Homecoming. He is currently 4th in the 3rd quarter GMRG rankings.
Edgar’s record speaks for itself, and it speaks volumes. It’s hard to imagine COU without him, he’s the closest thing we have to a mascot/cheerleader/beating heart (and I mean that in the best possible way). So on behalf of the Clan I thank Ed for everything he does and generally just being awesome.
Congrats Bro! You are an invaluable member of the summit and someone I’m proud to call my friend.

Ed was one of COU's guiding lights during GJW XII. Not only did he earn himself 27 Seals of Wrath for doing very nearly every competition, but he also took 1 Silver Nova and 4 Bronze Novae home for Odan-Urr.
This fits in with his overall activity since his last recognition on 21 September. In addition to his war activity, Ed participated in an addition 15 non-container comps (for a total of 42) and won 4 crescents. He's one of the Brotherhood's premier gamers, but his activity is hardly limited to that. In addition to his 5 Pendants of Blood, 880 Clusters of Fire, and 286 Clusters of Earth, Ed earned 11 Clusters of Ice and 16 Clusters of Graphite. To round things out, he also completed 2 Shadow Academy courses.
It would also be remiss of me not to mention Ed's continued outstanding service as Quaestor of Hoth. His Aedile will cover that in a bit more detail below, but suffice it to say that Ed is one of those most engaged leaders anywhere in the club. He fosters strong relationships with his members and sets a sterling example for them. In my (completely unbiased) opinion, Hoth is one of the healthiest and most vibrant houses in the Brotherhood, and Edgar deserves the lion's share of the credit for that.

Since Arch spoke of Edgar's activity since his last merit, a second Sapphire Blade in as many weeks, I will speak of my experiences with Edgar at the helm of House Hoth.
Seven months ago, I first approached Edgar Drachen — a completely unknown person to me at the time — when the notice of Aedile Applications for my current position were posted. I knew nothing about House Hoth and the wiki had been practically wiped, as the lore had been erased with New Tython. He was very helpful with this information, impressed me with competitions that were running and asked that I write up an idea for one.
In that time, I've learned that Edgar Drachen puts his absolute soul into every task he sets out to do, contradictory to his extremely laid-back attitude. On my first day as Aedile, I pulled up his activity history for the spreadsheet and managed to ask how he managed to do all of that and still have time for eating or sleeping. His humble response of 'I do what I can', immediately followed by him telling me to not worry about him until I was finished with all of our members on the tracker, as he gives no concern over his own accomplishments in favor of our members receiving recognition for theirs first.
This is just the kind of man that Edgar Drachen is. Selfless, driven, hard-working and one of the most active leaders I've ever seen. Every thought is dedicated toward the members of House Hoth and Clan Odan-Urr as a whole and ensuring that they have the best experience possible.
Due to his stellar contributions and 'lead by example' attitude in GJW XII: Retribution, which was instrumental in Odan-Urr becoming First Clan of the Brotherhood, I am pleased to be recommending Edgar Drachen for a Grand Cross. Congratulations, my friend. You've more than earned this and you're going to leave a pair of colossal boots to fill for whomever takes over in your stead... And that's if you decide to step down, you workaholic.

Once again, I'm happy to be recommending Ed for a major award. Even in so-called retirement, Drachen has continued to impress with high activity. Since his last recognition, he has participated in 48 competitions and earned 7 crescents, including two with ruby stars. The scale of his activity is most obvious in gaming: Ed's earned 889 Clusters of Fire, 56 Clusters of Earth, and 2 Pendants of Blood. He also branched out slightly to take the Shroud Syndicate Initiation SA exam.
However, in addition to gaming, Ed's also got a long history of leadership. Within the awardable period this included service a P:Fist, which Drac has detailed below, and as Quaestor of House Hoth. Between the two jobs, Ed organized an impressive 23 competitions and co-organized an additional 5. This included The Price of Freedom, a successful house event for Hoth. To round things out, Ed also contributed 6 reports/news posts between his two jobs, graded 7 SA exams, and was awarded 6 Scrolls of Foundation for SA service.
Congratulatios, Ed, and I hope you get the chance to enjoy some well-deserved lazy time on the hammock.

Since his last recognition, Edgar served on my staff as Praetor for six months. During that time he managed the office solo while I was away at training. He ran five monthly gaming challenge containers, and approved 27 PvE/PvO activities and 54 PvP activities.
Edgar continues to be an active gamer and is more than deserving of this award. Congratulations!
Master Dracaryis, 2018-09-21 18:58:57 UTC
Edgar is a special cookie. I say this because he is always the first to offer assistance, and the first to offer criticism. I don’t say this in a negative way, as Edgar is also the first to criticize himself. His criticisms are usually right on the mark, and because of this the unit benefits. Edgar and I have butt heads a few times, and every time he was respectful and always made it painfully aware that he was only trying to help. And that is exactly what he did, and every day continues to do so.
Edgar, I don’t think I have ever told you how much I respect you. You fight for what you believe in, and have no fear of speaking your mind. Your activity levels and the amount of work you have accomplished alone give you this award, but it is your personality that makes me believe you have earned it. Keep being you, man.
Sala Fe, 2018-09-15 21:10:00 UTC
What I want to say about Edgar is that he is a very strong character for the House and the Clan. He always has been since I’ve known him. He has always been helpful in assisting me with anything I ever needed, and has never been short of his constructive criticism to benefit both the individual member, such as myself, and the House/Clan as a whole. I think without him I would not be where I am today without his encouragement to continue to be active and get involved with the House/Clan or his feedback about my ability to do whatever task I was given. He always is one to fight for what he truly believes in. I both respect him, even in the rough times, and wish to honor him and his accomplishments with this recommendation for a Grand Cross

I am pleased to bring up the name Edgar Drachen yet again in an Odan-Urr award. Since his last recognition, he has not only been active as a regular member but as a leader as well.
As a regular member, he participated in 22 competitions, 12 PvE matches, 1 fiction activity, 13 words of fiction, passed two SA courses, posted 1 news post, and 8 comments. During these activities, he was awarded 1 Crescent with Topaz Star, 1 Crescent with Quartz Star, 2 Pendants of Blood, 122 Clusters of Fire, 16 Clusters of Earth, 4 Clusters of Graphite, 5 Seals of Fury, and 3 Seals of Discord. Of note, the last two entries were earned for participating in major Dark Brotherhood events. Lastly, he participated in 1 Gaming Event, which lasts a few hours and is a great way to support community building within the Clan. When members reach the EQ4 range sometimes they stop pushing forward but that hasn’t stopped him. Keep up the good work!
As for his leadership contributions, I’d first like to highlight his time as Quaestor of Hoth, during which he served in the post for 3 months and generated 1 report. During his time in service, he was part of the key transition between a tumultuous time and the relative peace that followed. First, he reintroduced the Scimitar of Lord Hoth back to Hoth, running it for two months straight. Of note, this competition requires a lot of manual counting but is a great community motivator. Second, he organized three competitions to spur activity inside Hoth. Third, he reached out to prospective masters to best serve his younger members. In addition to his communication with the Hoth Summit, these efforts helped push Hoth forward and generated activity for the clan. It was greatly appreciated.
Lastly, not all leadership contributions are from a position. Two such instances come to mind when I think of Edgar Drachen. First, he was the sole author, consisting of 446 words, of an ACC venue for Odan-Urr named Solyiat: Po’tak Coastline. He volunteered to make this unique venue for the clan and helped find pictures to use with it. Unique ACC venues help promote clan ACC matches and encourage engaging in clan lore so this was greatly appreciated. Second, he recently took on a mentorship role once more. He has already helped his student promote once and is well on his way to helping them reach Knighthood. Yet another example of his willingness to help out the Clan. Thank you.
For his dedication and activity, I am proud to recommend that Edgar Drachen receive a Grand Cross for his efforts. Congratulations!
