Primary reason

Qor Palpatine was an excellent leader for Scholae Palatinae since joining the clan. For the majority of the 8 months since his last recognition, Qor was a one-man summit, leading House Imperium without an Aedile to back him up. Qor single-handedly kept Imperium stable for a very long time, keeping a consistent flow of competitions towards his house (hosting 15 and co-hosting a further 3) while also overseeing the transformation of Battle Team Shadow Guard (which had always lacked any real identity) into Battle Team Krennic, a team focused on upholding the ideals of the Empire and named after an Imperial icon. Imperium saw numerous changes at the battle team level, but Qor was there through all of it, giving the house a much needed sense of stability at the top level. Further to this, Qor worked with everyone in the summit team, working closely with Braecen (when the two were opposite QUAs) to share ideas across the houses for mutual benefit. Most notably, Qor was one of the central figures in the design of the Scholae Palatinae system, the Caperion System, which was a joint effort by the entire summit team.

This did not stop Qor’s personal activity record from being anything short of top class across the range of activities the brotherhood offers. He’s participated in 39 competitions, earning 12 crescents. His 12,889 words of fiction activity span 10 bodies of work, and has contributed to team events in the form of 2 run-on posts totalling 3,207 words. Qor was always happy to work with other members of the clan to provide ACC practice, and has finished 7 ACC battles since his last recognition. His fiction activities total 66 clusters of ice. Outside of fiction, Qor has earned 18 clusters of graphite and 99 clusters of fire, including 1 pendant of blood from 17 PvE activities and 2 PvP matches. Despite all this, Qor still found time to expand his knowledge of the club through 5 SA exams.

For his excellent contribution to Scholae Palatinae’s leadership team as well as outstanding personal activity records, I’m very happy to recommend Qor for his first Grand Cross of the Dark Side, and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours.

Thanks for all your hard work.

Additional reasons

I have been honored to serve alongside Qor Palpatine since I joined the clan in February. I wholly believe that his individual efforts and personal sacrifices, as a Quaestor and Clan Title Holder, make him worthy of earning his first ever Grand Cross of the Dark Side. His work as the lone gunman in House Imperium has stabilized Scholae Palatinae and done a great service to the Brotherhood as a whole.

As his peer, I was able to work on several events and projects with Qor. He readily embraces anything that enhances the member experience, willingly supports other’s ideas, and gives people a chance to be in the spotlight and shine. He worked with me on the Society Stimulus competitions - a series of competitions hosted between Excidium & Imperium that focused on helping members advance their Society rank in the Grand Master’s Royal Guard, Shadow Academy, and the Inquisitorius. He also worked alongside the combined Scholae Palatinae leadership to pen the Daybreak Fictional Update. It is the end product of his diligent efforts in helping shape the Caperion System (geography, political landscape, etc) as we have worked from our old home in the Cocytus System to this newfound story for the advancement of Scholae Palatinae. Thank you for your dedication and work, Qor. This is well earned.

Qor has been an active member and good friend to Clan Scholae Palatinae for 2 years. Whether its via Telegram, via email, via proofreading, or via in the ACC, he was always there to be great encouragement and support to his fellow DJB-ers. It was Qor that actually inspired me to get further into fiction and to truly delve into what the Inquisitorius has to offer our members. If it wasn’t for his counsel and encouragement, I wouldn’t be the writer that I am today. He motivated many members to challenge themselves in the field of writing, and I hope he continues to do that in his new clan. He would pour hours and 1000s into word counts to help others. Since his last recognition, he has written 12,889 words within 10 fiction pieces and 2 run-on posts. He has also posted multiple fiction reports since January 1st to advance the House storyline: February Fiction, March Fiction, and April Fiction. Each of these plot advancements were pivotal in keeping membership engaged and the House moving forward. Thank you for your service to Imperium and to Scholae Palatinae. Thank you for your friendship. Congratulations on your well-earned award.

Alara Deathbane
Quaestor of Excidium

The discussions I’ve been having with the membership of Imperium has been quite clear on their feelings for Qor. No one can imagine the House without their beloved squidman. It’s going to be a hard adjustment going forward and that’s for one clear reason: Qor has been a staple of Imperium. He’s been a clear and stable leader through the house’s grow, and while it is unfortunate to see him leave and for us to lose such an important pillar; we want to ensure he is recognized for his efforts.

Since his last merit award, eight months ago, Qor has proven to be a solid leader and member representing the Imperium name. In terms of positions served, he concluded his final month as a Shadow Academy professor with 7 courses graded, he continued to serve as Quaestor for these last eight months, and he has been an Appeals Panelist for the past six months. Quaestor is not an easy position to navigate. Many times you are treated as middle management, having to push the desires of those above while seeing to the interests of those below you. Often one can feel stuck in between a rock and a hard place, and yet despite a rotating leadership around him; Qor served as a stable example for those to follow and had been a mediator for many.

Being a concrete pillar for the unit, Qor has helped train two battleteam leaders under these past eight months in addition to bringing on a new aedile in hopes to provide the stability the house needs. This past month that I have served as Battleteam leader, I’ve worked closely with Qor to push our battleteam forward while correcting the mistakes of the past and this has started to breath a new life into the unit with a stable core of members actively discussing where we will take the team and house forward. This wouldn’t have been possible without his trust, guidance, and advocation on our behalf and is a testament to his leadership that he was able to bring about the starting revival of our unit. Wherever we go forward, we have Qor to thank for his initial investment and oversight.

In addition to his positioned service, Qor has also been active in an individual way. Again, since his last merit award; he has completed five shadow academy courses, written 16,096 words for fiction and runon events, complete 10 other fiction activities, 7 ACC battles, 19 PVP & PVE matches, hosted/co-hosted 18 competitions, and participated in 46 competitions. This shows that not only is Qor’s someone who can contribute as a leader, but sets an example of what an core, active member could look like. That alone I would think is deserving recognition.

The simple fact of the matter is; Imperium had been honoured by Qor’s presense, leadership, and activity these past eight months and I would like to join the clan summit in recognizing Qor for his efforts. He’s been an incredible member, quaestor, and friend. Thank you for your service, squidface.
