Be it during a fight or life in general, moral compass means little to Talis DeMorte. If you don’t want a person harmed, you had better specify. General terms mean nothing to him as Talis DeMorte only deals in specifics. If the rules of a duel say you can’t shoot before the count of three? A grenade over the shoulder is fair game, then. Tell Talis DeMorte to stop someone at all costs, well, you better not be concerned if they’re brought back dead or alive.
Talis DeMorte looks at any problem he comes across and instead of immediately complaining about it sets out to figuring out a solution. He will work tirelessly to find workarounds or a solution, but can often overthink the resolution and come up with a "fix" that is actually more complex than needed. This driven approach to fixing problems can be helpful at times but grating at others when a simple "restart" would have accomplished the task quicker than re-programming the entire device.
Talis DeMorte tells it like he sees it, when he thinks it; and he doesn't try to sugar coat what he says.
Talis DeMorte manages to always see the down side to every silver-lining, joyous occasion, or victory. Where some may see a boon, Talis DeMorte will often see the curse accompanying it, just around the corner.Talis DeMorte's constant pessimism can often lead to conflict and the annoyance of those around him, not to mention the dampening of spirits. However, this mindset is not without its benefits, for a pessimist is far more likely to be prepared for the worst and be left unscathed by it - after all, none are more prepared for the worst case scenario than the ones expecting it all along.
Talis does not often engage in a continuous, drawn out fight. Instead, he prefers to engage his opponents for a short time, then disengage his enemy, only to reengage them at a different angle. As a result, if a fight goes on for long enough, his battlefield awareness decreases, making himself a more difficult opponent for his enemy, but also rendering himself vulnerable to attack from other enemies.
When it comes to a fight, some like to posture, some like to act tough, some like to dance around and go through all sorts of fancy footwork. Talis DeMorte? Talis DeMorte doesn't bother with exotic battle stances, intricate maneuvers, or super-secret tactics. Talis DeMorte, when cornered into a fight, prefers the ancient technique of a good kick to the nuts. And if that won't work, either because the enemy is a woman or has balls of steel, Talis DeMorte isn't beyond pulling a few more cheap tricks out of the bag. Granted, Talis DeMorte won't be winning any medals for nobility or any prestige for a unique fighting style or a superb maneuver, but Talis DeMorte will still be winning, the best and most dirty way he knows how.
