Talis' imposing stature is contrasted by his kind smile. His vestigial eye sockets are covered with a simple tan cloth wrap. His dark peach, tanned skin only shows through his face and neck. Both of his arms are covered in intricate tattoos depicting his time in the DJB. A large mural tattoo graces his back and sides depicting the Fall of New Tython. His Light brown hair is cut short in a military high and tight with the top being a little longer than the sides, but it is nicely faded together. His sideburns fade into a scruffy beard that covers his jawline and frames his mouth well. His facial structure is best described as between Angular and filled out. He looks pretty average aside from the body modifications he has gone through.
Talis DeMorte looks at any problem he comes across and instead of immediately complaining about it sets out to figuring out a solution. He will work tirelessly to find workarounds or a solution, but can often overthink the resolution and come up with a "fix" that is actually more complex than needed. This driven approach to fixing problems can be helpful at times but grating at others when a simple "restart" would have accomplished the task quicker than re-programming the entire device.
Be it during a fight or life in general, moral compass means little to Talis DeMorte. If you don’t want a person harmed, you had better specify. General terms mean nothing to him as Talis DeMorte only deals in specifics. If the rules of a duel say you can’t shoot before the count of three? A grenade over the shoulder is fair game, then. Tell Talis DeMorte to stop someone at all costs, well, you better not be concerned if they’re brought back dead or alive.
Talis DeMorte is not afraid to exploit any advantage or position of power he has when dealing with others, and relies on a combination of fear, intimidation, manipulation and shows of strength to convince others to compromise and lose. Talis DeMorte can be quite callous in his dealings with others, and never gives up his power. This has earned Talis DeMorte with the reputation of a “bully” and can often make negotiations difficult before they even begin.
Talis DeMorte doesn't do anything without first having a plan, and is constantly overheard advising others to always “think through their exits”. Every movement he makes—be it combative, manipulative or otherwise—is premeditated and thought out ahead of time. This foresight often places Talis DeMorte two steps ahead of his peers. However, when plans go awry, Talis DeMorte often has to first backtrack those same two steps to address the present, and that hesitation can often be line between success and failure in the heat of a situation.
Talis does not often engage in a continuous, drawn out fight. Instead, he prefers to engage his opponents for a short time, then disengage his enemy, only to reengage them at a different angle. As a result, if a fight goes on for long enough, his battlefield awareness decreases, making himself a more difficult opponent for his enemy, but also rendering himself vulnerable to attack from other enemies.
Through careful study and dedication to isolated martial-combat, Talis DeMorte has turned the act of dueling into an art form. A keen eye and attention to detail allows him the ability to learn their opponent's idiosyncrasies while fighting. Talis DeMorte then uses his own skills to capitalize on the opponent's weakness. Because of this calculated approach to isolated duels, Talis DeMorte has a harder time taking on multiple opponents at once at higher skill levels.
