Lavanth always seems to underestimate the gravity of important situations or the difficulty of tasks by about a mile or ten.Lavanth is a bit of a slacker, never really thinking things all the way through - and it usually comes back to bite him in a wildly comedic way. However, he also tends to not be deterred from things that would often scare others away.

Lavanth is physically blind. His eyes suffered terrible burns and were unable to be healed in time. He now relies on his montrals and other senses in order to see. This tends to make it hard to sneak up on him. When speaking with others he attempts to look in their general direction.

Despite an aversion for physical confrontation, Lavanth has a quick-witted and sharp sense of humour, and never passes up the opportunity to make a quip or jibe about his situation, or to taunt his enemies. While some find Lavanth to be funny and likeable, others do not always respond so warmly, and occasionally Lavanth will get himself into more trouble than he thought when someone takes a joke the wrong way.

Lavanth feels like being blind is more of a blessing than a curse. He no longer has to watch people act stupidly, but now hear them. He hates it when people call him a cripple, cause he believes he can do things just as well as others. He will often joke about his own blindness but hates it when others get carried away with joking.

Lavanth doesn't like to fight and will often avoid it. When in fights he tries to convince people to stop fighting and will often only harm not kill. He only kills when it is absolutely necessary but regrets that he had to.

Lavanth prefers to take the indirect way of attacking someone, whether he is ricocheting bullets, sneaking from behind, or any other number of tricks. He mainly will use his pistols as his main weapon and try to keep the person at firing distance. If he gets caught in close combat he will fight for as long as he can, but will most likely try to get away.
