Growing up on Alderaan's only desertic colony (Tepasi II), Calindra feels most at home when surrounded by sand dunes and the blazing suns of the desert. She adapts well to drier climates, but as she learns more and explores the Galaxy, she can be overwhelmed when coming across unfamiliar sights such as large bodies of waters, a thriving metropolis, or colorful jungles.

Calindra Hejaran has grown up among her homeworld's deeply spiritual and superstitious desertic tribes. Because of this, Calindra has espoused the Tepasi's belief that life is a never ending struggle between life and death. Sometimes the light must brave the darkness. Sometimes the shadow wins.

Calindra Hejaran has the unshakable belief that good or bad happens for a reason. Because of this, she is extremely resilient and is constantly buoyed by her faith in a Grand Design. So much so, that her Faith will sometimes spur others to push onward, even if it feels like all hope is lost.

Calindra Hejaran shares an imperfect symbiotic link with the Force Spirit that she encountered in the Temple of the Forgotten and took on as a passenger inside her mind.

When relying too heavily on the Force, this spirit tends to come to the forefront of Calindra Hejaran's consciousness and seizes the reins. When this happens, Calindra fails to recognize the people around her and loses sight of her mission parameters entirely. Instinctively, she will still know enemy from foe, but her sudden one-tracked mind makes for a bad team experience.

In this state, her speech patterns will shift, avoiding calling people by name while no longer responding to her own. Her vocabulary also grows more archaic, like calling a necklace a 'talisman' or modern glow-lights 'torches'. When the Force Spirit relinquishes control, Calindra is often left without any recollection of actions that transpired, which often leads to confusion and doubt.

Growing up among Tepasi's desertic tribes, Calindra has come to see survival as being intricately tied to a clan's sense of community. Put simply, people working together and helping each other, ensures everyone's well being and survival. Because of this, Calindra naturally tends to put the good of the many before her own needs.

However, Calindra now shares a Force Spirit's absolute hatred of the Rakata due to its time in captivity. Therefor, whenever she is confronted by a Rakata, or anyone that sympathizes with them, their history or lore, the Force Spirit will try to take control away from Calindra.

Regardless of whether she falls victim to the Spirit, or whether her sense of community is betrayed, she is prone to lash out or act irrationally towards ally and foe alike, to the point where she can become as merciless and indiscriminate as the savage lands of her childhood.

Whenever she is fatigued or makes extensive use of the Force, Calindra Hejaran runs a chance of the Force Spirit taking over during combat.

Calindra usually prefers a Duelist's approach to combat, where a keen eye and attention to detail allow her to learn her opponent's idiosyncrasies in order to capitalize and exploit their weakness. While this calculated approach to isolated duels makes her a formidable foe, Calindra has a harder time taking on multiple opponents at once at higher skill levels.

Under the influence of the Force Spirit, however, Calindra will suddenly prefer her left hand and execute a series of aggressive movements that link into each other as if part of an intricate, whirling dance. While deadly and unpredictable, her lack of discipline when fueling this feverish whirlwind usually leaves her easily exhausted before a fight may be finished.

Calindra Hejaran works hard to maintain an image of fierce tenacity despite being of a smaller stature. To that extent, Calindra Hejaran has learned to not take jabs about her stature offensively, but to instead burn them quietly as fuel for her inner spirit. The flame that is sparked as a result is controlled by Calindra Hejaran's discipline of never overestimating her own abilities or those of her opponents. She has trained to fully utilize her size as an advantage when fighting larger opponents. She knows exactly how to leverage her weight to deliver the most effective take downs or maneuvers. The effort to maintain this image can be draining at times, and when outmatched or overwhelmed, Calindra Hejaran becomes susceptible to a loss of spirit.
