Syntari has the typical blue-tinged skin, colorless eyes, and angular, elfin features common to all Umbarans, in addition to being completely bald. Years of captivity have worn at her former, slim beauty leaving her a shadow of her former self.
Aside from her unusual appearance, Syntari has two other distinguishing marks. Both wrists bear burn-like scars from an ill-conceived escape attempt and emblazoned on the back of her neck is a purple tattoo of the number seven. Any other scars, as well as her Inquisitorius tattoos, are generally covered by her clothing.
Syntari Bastiayn is devoutly loyal to her House or Clan and will follow orders unquestionably. She would sacrifice her own life to protect her House or Clan from harm. This attitude, however, often clouds her ability to see things from an arbitrary or objective point of view and she can come off as extremely narrow-minded.
Syntari Bastiayn has a sick sense of humor, viewing the world through dark colored glass. She has a biting sense of black humor, often laughing at things that most people would find reprehensible or down right soul crushing. As a result, those that are not used to her brand of humor often find Syntari Bastiayn downright unbearable or overly morbid. At the same time, her cynicism can be useful for seeing through the optimistic altruism of those she encounters.
She takes the concept of doing anything you want to a whole new level, being unafraid to challenge authority and step on the toes of her superiors. Due to this, it is easier for her to make enemies than to make friends, and this aspect opens the way for her to be targeted or even hated.
Syntari Bastiayn has a tendency to be secretive and keeps to herself, relying on deception to conceal her motives and intentions. She is a schemer, and plots and plans against others carefully. When dealing with a confrontation, she will try and bluff her way out of trouble, or overcome obstacles with deliberate, covert actions.
Syntari Bastiayn seems to get her thrills, perhaps sadistic ones at that, from toying with her opponents. Some are content with simply striking down or injuring their opponent, but that is not enough for Syntari Bastiayn. No, she wishes to see her enemy descend into madness or kneel before her as a blathering mess; or even better, as a fresh new servant with a muddled mind. The Puppeteer usually forsakes outright hurting and maiming her opponent and focuses on illusions, mind tricks, and other wicked means of destroying a person.
Syntari Bastiayn vastly prefers ranged combat, taking every opportunity to use skills and Force Powers to disengage from melee and instead fight at range, so much so that she has become competent at staying out of melee in the first place.
