Diyrian has thick, vibrant forest green dreads that bounce just below her jawline, and her blue-green eyes shine with her mischievous nature just above the golden tattoos of her clan. Complimenting her sharp, heart-shaped facial structure is her upturned, angular nose with a small charming crook to it from an old breakage.
Diy’s golden, orange-hued skin stretches over her lanky build, disrupted by a few dark freckles, scars, and tattoos. A small, rectangular, off-colored patch of skin lays on her lower back, a failed attempt at getting Zelosian skin grafted onto herself while heavily under some influences. Higher up the back and between her shoulder blades lays a rose tattoo set above a bone with a name scribbled into it, almost as if someone had etched the letters into the bone with a knife, yet a set of jagged scars destroy its legibility. Diy has a second tattoo, stylized white fangs with three blood droplets falling from the right fang is etched into her right thigh — the symbol of the Crimson Hound gang. Nested just below the small of her back is the Arconan Fade tattoo in black and red. Lastly, a gold line stretches across her cheekbones and nose. It curls around the eyes, shaping into a point of sorts under the right, whereas under the left a small hooked triangle rests below the line. Her clan’s symbol.
Discovered when young to have Psychometry and consequently taken as a shaman novice, Diyrian understands the spiritual importance of her ability. Yet after being abducted from her home during the impressionable early teenage years, she has since subtly used her skill for entertainment and grown addicted to it for comfort. Although her charming smile may distract, anyone aware of the Kiffar’s special talent would take care to avoid her wandering hands.
Diyrian has also discovered her force sensitivity after a history of glitterstim use. Now sober, she has trained to use a mixture of Illusion, Telepathy, and Sense to boost her psychometry ability, even sharing glimpses of visions with peers. Her grasp on these powers pales to that of a Force User and must take time to concentrate on manifesting these abilities.
Diy had been obsessed with the Zelosian race since a smuggler by the name Yiqgo rescued her from trafficking scum in her youth. For the longest time, she had idolized and grown to identify with the species due to trauma-induced amnesia and PTSD creating a disconnect from her Kiffar identity. She has dyed her locs forest green, taken to makeup tones that enhance her golden skin, had even become a vegetarian all to become comfortable with herself. More recently, however, the faux-Zelosian has been facing the past, finding some healing and reacquainting with her heritage; those bright gold tattoos across her face and her own crimson blood marking her Kiffar lineage have become less dysphoric. Despite that, there are times Diy still feels like an outsider or other from Kiffars.
For years, Diy’s own personal motto, cleverly thought of as a teen fending for herself, was to do it herself. This lead to her usually taking matters into her own hands, acting recklessly, and never asking or waiting for help. But healing, friendships, and love have all shown her hands are willing to join hers in the build, and that having teammates is maybe better than being alone. More at peace now, and shouldering the responsibility of actually leading and helping others, Diy is still fiercely independent, and still somewhat wild and reckless, but has absorbed some of the care shown her and now extends that grace to others, wiser for it.
The faux-Zelosian is a spirited, passionate, and fun-loving extrovert who is extremely loyal to her friends and chosen family. From acquaintances to long time friends, comrades and fellow pilots, all those Diy takes a liking to are under her certified protection like a loyal Akk at their side. She is freely affectionate, physically and emotionally, as an Akk too. Not all who garner her attention receive a friendly companion, however. Those with unsavory attitudes draw her notice, and that positive charming attitude becomes manipulative and for her own personal entertainment, a nexu toying with its prey.
Despite her openness and friendliness, Diy finds that the more introverted people may be less keen on her energy. Those who also witness her more manipulative charm at play may question past interactions and their current relationship.
When it comes to a fight, some like to posture, some like to act tough, some like to dance around and go through all sorts of fancy footwork. Diyrian "Diy" Grivna? Diyrian "Diy" Grivna doesn't bother with exotic battle stances, intricate maneuvers, or super-secret tactics. Diyrian "Diy" Grivna, when cornered into a fight, prefers the ancient technique of a good kick to the nuts. And if that won't work, either because the enemy is a woman or has balls of steel, Diyrian "Diy" Grivna isn't beyond pulling a few more cheap tricks out of the bag. Granted, Diyrian "Diy" Grivna won't be winning any medals for nobility or any prestige for a unique fighting style or a superb maneuver, but Diyrian "Diy" Grivna will still be winning, the best and most dirty way she knows how.
Diyrian fights best in close quarters, despite being a primarily ranged combatant. She primarily harness her two shiny blasters, Whyell and Wynnetta, in close to mid combat and isn’t afraid to pistol-cuff a cranium if needed. And if her girls can’t help her, then she relies on her knowledge of Corellian Kickboxing, sending elbows and knees to throats, guts, and groins. Her strongest use of it is primarily in self-defence tactic but she can hold alright in a hand to hand fight with one or two adversaries; a larger group would overwhelm her
