Kylex has had a traumatic childhood, filled with violence and loss. This has made him extremely immature as well as cocksure, even in fights. He loves to make jokes and does almost anything for the punchline. Despite this, Kylex is quite the thinker, thinking about other methods and approaches to situations. During combat Kylex is renowned for using unconventional and sometimes obscene fighting methods, like throwing sand in peoples eyes. This immaturity gives him an element of unpredictability, but he can struggle against a more disciplined and experienced fighter that he isn't taken seriously.
Kylex lost a important person when he was younger. This loss traumatized him, causing him to be extremely overprotective of those whom he considers his friends, and more so with those he considers his family. This can get Kylex in situations that others would most likely avoid.
Killing has never been a problem for Kylex; and he kind of enjoys it now, if he is honest. Killing's what Kylex does, and he likes what he does.
Kylex is very cheerful and happy, and always looks on the bright side of life. When chewing on life’s gristle, he doesn't grumble, but gives a whistle. He always hopes for the best, and enjoys laughing, smiling, dancing or singing. This unending optimism often improves the morale and spirit of everyone around him, and Kylex is always quick with a smile or a joke, even when drawing his terminal breath. This same exuberance can also be tiring to more jaded curmudgeons.
Through careful study and dedication to isolated martial-combat, Kylex has turned the act of dueling into an art form. A keen eye and attention to detail allows him the ability to learn their opponent's idiosyncrasies while fighting. Kylex then uses his own skills to capitalize on the opponent's weakness. Because of this calculated approach to isolated duels, Kylex has a harder time taking on multiple opponents at once at higher skill levels.
Kylex seems to get his thrills, perhaps sadistic ones at that, from toying with his opponents. Some are content with simply striking down or injuring their opponent, but that is not enough for Kylex. No, he wishes to see his enemy descend into madness or kneel before him as a blathering mess; or even better, as a fresh new servant with a muddled mind. The Puppeteer usually forsakes outright hurting and maiming his opponent and focuses on illusions, mind tricks, and other wicked means of destroying a person.
