TuQ’uan has been a flurry of activity the last couple of months both in Plagueis events and otherwise. Since his promotion, he has participated in a total of 34 competitions. Among those events, Tuq’uan participated in all 25 events of the Plagueis/Taldryan Pro Bowl event, placing in 1 and taking 10th place overall in the event. For all effort, he earned 7 Crescents as well as 12 Clusters of Ice. Beyond that he’s earned 32 Clusters of Fire for a variety of gaming activities, participated in 2 ACC battles and written over 3,000 words of fiction. TuQ’uan also has been one of the most prolific students in the Shadow Academy over this period. He’s passed a total of 16 courses and received 2 Dark Maven degrees.

In addition to his admirable amount of activity, TuQ’uan has also taken on the role of Taskmaster in Plagueis (aka Battleteam Leader of the Circle). He has been quite an asset in helping out our new recruits and getting them engaged and excited about the club. As the first one many of our new members come in contact with, TuQ’uan has been a critical part of the process of bringing new members into the fold. TuQ’uan helps out with reports providing useful information about his cadre within his assigned section of the monthly Rolemaster’s reports. He keeps in regular contact with his members and is always active and available on Telegram. His dedication to the job and the welfare of our Journeymen has made him an asset to the summit and a great addition to the team. I hope to see him go far as a leader in this club.

For all of the above reasons, it is my pleasure to recommend TuQ’uan for a Steel Cross. Good work sir!

What can I say about the Hat? TuQ’uan is active, and has a constant presence on telegram. He participated in the recent Pro Bowl event and took the competition hands down, while also cheerleading his team onward. Since his promotion, TuQ has participated in 39 competitions, earning himself 4 Crescents, including 1 Diamond, 3 Ruby, and 1 Amethyst. He also earned 5 Clusters of Fire, 15 Clusters of Ice for writing over 1800 words of fiction, and 9 Clusters of Graphite. For his participation in the GJW Homefront, he netted himself 9 Seals of Vision.

It would be my honor to recommend him for a Steel Cross.

TuQ’uan Varick di Plagia transferred to House Tyranus back in September 2021, and is a recent returnee to House Ventress, but has certainly made a heck of a splash since! He had an amazing vendetta with 26 entries yielding 3 Silver and 1 Bronze Nova as well as finishing in the top 10 in a further four competitions. Very impressive work!

It isn’t just his performance in the vendetta that makes TuQ’uan a valuable member of the clan however. Since his last recognition in January, he has participated in 42 competitions and organised one. For this, he earned 13 Crescents - 4 Ruby, 2 Amethyst, 3 Sapphire and 4 Emerald. He has also earned 9 Clusters of Fire and 3 Clusters of Earth from four gaming activities, 10 Clusters of Ice from four fiction entries totalling 2744 words and 12 Clusters of Graphite for his graphics work. He also passed 3 SA exams.

TuQ’uan has more than earned this Steel Cross and I am thoroughly happy to have him back in House Ventress. I hope this is the first of many such awards that I can recommend.

Pazaak was a beloved gaming platform in the club for many years and generated a lot of gaming activity. Unfortunately, the site the club relied on to play the game in those days got shut down. I recently tried to bring Pazaak back in the GJW but the site I used was clunky and didn't work on mobile. The gaming community's hopes for a Pazaak restoration were sketchy at best.

Enter TuQ.

TuQ'uan Varick di Plagia, aka the hat, saw the community's need and took it upon himself to locate and research possible alternatives. After some personal testing Tuq found a viable alternative that uses discord and developed a detailed and illustrated 7-page proposal for adopting this new Pazaak platform that he submitted to me. His proposal outlined the history and the problem facing the community with supporting competition data from the button to show why a discord-based platform would lead to more engagement. He included links and step by step guide on how to use the new pazaak discord bot. With a little bit of James magic the bot was implemented and Tuq helped lead the charge to thoroughly test the new platform with his fellow members.

TuQ's initiative and thorough and thoughtful research in preparing the discord pazaak proposal has had a direct impact on the gaming community through the restoration of a beloved platform that the club lost and provided, for the first time, a way to get gaming activity without leaving discord. The implications and possibilities for expanding gaming activity cannot be understated.
