Aldaric' tenure on the Fist staff over the past year has been remarkable as he has provided stability to an office that was in flux. Aldaric is hard working and can be consistently relied upon to meet the offices activity approval standards. This does not simply include maintaining a 24-hour turnaround time on all approvals but also creating, monitoring and approving the Grand Master’s Royal Guard competitions on a monthly basis. During is tenure, Aldaric has run 12 competitions (including the one still in progress) as part of the Fist off monthly gaming events.
While creating these competitions, Aldaric was always attempting to look for new ways to engage the gaming community within the club. He did not focus on one single subtype and ran a wide variety of competitions. An example of this is his Overwatch cluster race, which ended up generating 1262.5 Clusters of Fire over a three week period. Another fantastic example of the work Aldaric put into running competitions is the Heroes of the Storm 2v2 bracket that ran. This competition saw six teams enter, a fantastic showing outside of a DC-run club-wide event. Not only that but Aldaric also came up with his own unique twist on the competition, restricting heroes to only the free rotation, in an effort to increase the general competitiveness of the tournament.
Aldaric also assisted with the Fallen Order: Launch Party series of competitions, creating his own caption contest but also by helping me brainstorm other competition ideas. It was important for us as an office to do something in support of the first new Star Wars game to release since 2017 and Aldaric assisted in making that a reality.
Since joining the staff, Aldaric has approved hundreds of gaming activities. He has reviewed and processed over 325 PvE/PvO activities and 38 PvP activities, all well within thereuired 24 hour timeframe. As important as these metrics are, Aldaric’s greatest contribution may be his reliability. It is no secret that the Fist office saw a lot of change in the 12 months that Aldaric served but one of the things that remained consistent throughout this turmoil was Aldaric’s reliability. He remained committed to his role and was a major contributor to the stability of the office through what could have been a very tumultuous time.
It is my privilege to recommend him for his very first sacramental award.
Congratulations, Aldaric. Thank you for everything you have done during your time on staff.
