One thing that has been rather marked is that in what Hilgrif sets his mind to, he puts a surprising amount of thought in to. See, Hilgrif has had a lot of conversations with myself about what competitions or competition formats would best serve our Clan. We have chatted quite a bit about gaming competitions, and there are two things that he has focused on: what would best appeal to his audience, and how to ensure fairness across the board.

During the course of the Great Jedi War, it came to my attention that Hilgrif made a point of making himself available to play matches with other DJB members. Now, even given that War time is just about the most competitive period for our Club, Hilgrif strode to keep the playing field even. This is just the most obvious, apparent example I can give of how he wants to keep things fair and fun for all. The two of us game together rather often. He has spent a lot of time with me bouncing ideas or discussing things he has observed, and has sought council from his Consul regularly on what things might work, not work, or what things have been done before. He has demonstrated a desire to keep things fresh.

Hilgrif certainly specializes in gaming, but he is also willing to stretch himself. He is willing to try at new things, and to challenge himself, and I think that his performance during the War was a trial by fire for this young Knight.

For the above reasoning, I will gladly add my voice in support of this award for our resident Bug-man, Hilgif!

Hilgrif is one of those rare members that has an enthusiastic competitive streak to help push others along to greatness with him (see his gaming exploits, helping encourage a whole new crop of gamers in CNS, something that CNS has traditionally lacked for generations) balanced well with thoughtfulness, as he is consistently working toward the goal of making Naga Sadow better, and it's members better as a result. You don't always see this sort of mixture in as young of a member as Hilgrif is, but I know that I am thankful for it, and CNS needs more just like him.

Other people will have given the laundry list of competitions and medals he has already earned, so I won't duplicate efforts there. But I did want to put my oar in on thanking Hilgrif for his work so far, to help encourage him along his path, knowing full well where it could lead him. I look forward to more enthusiastic discussions, creepy planning sessions, and other shenanigans with the goal of pushing our clan ever forward. Thank you, Hilgrif. ~Muz Ashen, the Lion of Tarthos

This is so awesome to see. Though Hilgrif is in our sister House HMR, his prescense is felt throughout both Houses and the Clan. An avid gamer is how I know him, racking up mad points and accolades in his abilities in that arena. Furthermore, Hilgrif is always active in chat extended his reach throughout the Clan. He tenacity was proven in the GJW garnering himself a gold Nova, boosting CNS to second Clan! I whole heartedly recommend this reward for Hilgrif!
