Aru was hired onto the Shadow Academy staff to serve as our new-member-focused Magistrate, in part because of a number of great ideas that he put forth in his application. In less than three months on staff, Aru has already made one of those ideas into reality in the form of our new Comms 101: Website Navigation course.

It's important to note that we ask our staff to take a break from any grading or projects during the war, so Aru actually completed this course in a matter of weeks. In that brief time, he worked with me through various revisions to expand and re-organize the content, started an endeavor to create a video walkthrough and then shifted instead to learning a new tool to create the short screen capture gifs that were ultimately used in the course. His positive attitude and commitment to producing the best course for our new members throughout that process was noteworthy in itself.

Immediately following the launch of the new course, Aru instantly volunteered to take on a new project, so we set him to work on another resource we hope to create for our new members. He's also been a great help in offering his ideas and insights into other areas of the Academy as we discuss various possibilities moving forward. I expect we'll see much more from him in the future, but I wanted to take the time to thank him for the exemplary work he's already put forth!
